Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct detailed preliminary interviews with clients, documenting their history and symptoms from initial consultation to treatment conclusion.

• Perform comprehensive evaluations of clients' mental, behavioral, and emotional health, employing evidence-based practices.
\n
• Develop individualized intervention and recovery plans tailored for various demographics including individuals, couples, families, and groups.
\n
• Facilitate engaging individual and group therapy sessions, employing various therapeutic modalities to suit client needs.
\n
• Regularly monitor and document client progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to meet established goals.
\n
• Collaborate closely with other mental health specialists, physicians, and social workers to coordinate care and share critical insights.
\n
• Follow up with psychiatrists and attending physicians regarding clients who may require inpatient care.
\n
• Identify potential barriers to recovery and implement strategies to mitigate these risks.
\n
• Provide support and guidance to family members and primary caregivers in managing mental and behavioral challenges.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

In this role, you will work with a diverse clientele ranging from children and adolescents to adults facing a wide array of mental health issues, including anxiety, depression, trauma-related disorders, and substance abuse challenges. The Growth and Grace Counseling Center emphasizes cultural sensitivity and personalized care to meet the unique needs of each client, ensuring they feel supported and understood throughout their journey to recovery.

Qualifications\n

• Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure in California as an LMFT, LPCC, or LCSW.
\n
• Successful completion and passing score on either the National Counselor Examination (NCE) or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).
\n
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate clinical insights effectively.
\n
• Demonstrated interpersonal skills and an empathetic approach to counseling.
\n

Preferred Experience\n

• Substantial previous experience as a mental health counselor, particularly in a community health setting.

• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems, particularly AVATAR, and proficiency in maintaining accurate client documentation.

• Experience working with co-occurring disorders and management of related physical health conditions.
\n
• Adeptness in adhering to best practices set forth by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA).
\n
• Knowledge of psychotropic medications and their implications for therapy.

The Growth and Grace Counseling Center offers a competitive salary ranging from $80,000 to $100,000 annually, along with a sign-on bonus to welcome you to our team.
