This thriving partnership enables us to not only offer the largest selection of products, but also to introduce innovative, differentiated products with combination chemistry and our exclusive access to the broadest array of Active ingredients in the industry!Role SummaryThis role serves as the primary contact and relationship manager for our top professional turfgrass accounts and select distributors. The Key Account Manager will support Golf Course Superintendents, Lawn Care Operators (LCOs), and management companies to promote Quali‑Pro products and programs. The position requires strong agronomic knowledge, an ability to communicate product value, and a strategic mindset to help “pull” sales through distribution partners.Primary ResponsibilitiesDevelop and execute key account plans by building relationships, facilitating interactions between targeted customers and the CSI technical service team, following up by implementing with sales representativesAchieving sales, profit, and market share targets as part of the overall sales and marketing plan for the divisionAct as a steward of the CSI portfolio by making recommendations and by managing complaints/issues in the field as needed, in partnership with the CSI technical service teamManage and grow existing customer base by understanding and anticipating customer needsCommunicate sales and marketing opportunities with existing and new business opportunitiesIdentify and resolve any customer concerns and recommend a course of action to alleviate future concerns. Communicate to leadership quickly on corrective actionsParticipate in meetings, training sessions, tradeshows, conferences, webinars, and professional development opportunities corporately and with existing customer baseMaintain awareness of pertinent customer information, future plans, payment performance, and communicate any information that would affect company decisionsMaintain an understanding and knowledge of competitor products and programs by identifying and reporting intelligence on pricing and marketing strategiesSubmit ongoing account reports via Salesforce.com to include daily activities, competitor information, and customer interactionNegotiate contracts and develop and track performance of programsStay up-to-date with internal and external developments and suggest new ways to increase salesManage expense budget and maintain regular expense reportingAdditional duties as assignedQualificationsHighly motivated self-starter who can work autonomously and as a part of a team in a fast-paced, changing environmentHigh level of initiative, creative thinking, decision making, and problem resolution skillsAbility to manage multiple tasks with shifting priorities and timelinesInherent ability to influence with outstanding communication and interpersonal skills to gain trustRequirementsBS/BA (preferably) in Turfgrass or industry relatedAbility to travel extensively within territory (80% of the time)Reliable transportation with clean driving recordGoal of becoming successful in performing territory development activities and personal growth opportunities within Control SolutionsKnowledge of advertising and sales promotion techniquesAn essential element of Control Solutions, Inc.
