Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough mental health evaluations, including preliminary interviews for new clients, ensuring comprehensive documentation from the initial consultation through the treatment process.

• Assess clients' mental, emotional, and behavioral health to formulate tailored treatment plans aligned with their specific challenges and goals.

• Develop and implement individualized intervention strategies suitable for individuals, couples, families, and groups, fostering an environment conducive to healing.

• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions, employing a variety of therapeutic techniques to engage clients and enhance their recovery.

• Monitor and document client progress throughout their treatment plans, adjusting strategies as needed to ensure optimal outcomes.

• Collaborate effectively with other health professionals, including psychiatrists, nurses, and social workers, to create unified intervention plans that support clients' recovery paths.

• Follow up with clients and healthcare providers to ensure continuity of care, including those transitioning from inpatient settings.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The clients served at Safe Place Counseling Center encompass a broad spectrum of ages, backgrounds, and mental health concerns, including anxiety, depression, trauma, addiction, and various mood disorders. Our counselors are expected to approach each individual with empathy and professionalism, tailoring therapeutic interventions to respect each client's unique circumstance and needs.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution is mandatory.

• Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LPC, or LCSW in the state of Pennsylvania.

• A proven track record of successfully passing the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).

• Exceptional proficiency in communicating effectively, both in writing and verbally, fostering relationships with clients, families, and colleagues alike.

• Demonstrates an exceptional understanding of the challenges faced by clients struggling with mental illness and addiction disorders.

Preferred Experience\n

• Knowledge of the latest practices from the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA) and the effects of psychotropic medications on mental health.

• Demonstrated ability to build rapport with clients, exhibiting a nurturing and empathetic demeanor.
