Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations to assess the intensity, frequency, and duration of mood disorder symptoms presented by clients.

• Collaborate with clients to create personalized treatment plans that are aligned with their individual goals, preferences, and needs.

• Utilize evidence-based treatment methods, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), to deliver effective therapeutic interventions.

• Educate clients and their families on mood disorders, available treatment options, and self-care strategies to help them manage their conditions.

• Monitor client progress diligently and adjust treatment plans when necessary to ensure optimal outcomes.

• Engage in interdisciplinary collaboration with psychiatrists and other healthcare providers to deliver comprehensive care.

• Stay informed on the latest research and advancements in the treatment of mood disorders to enhance the effectiveness of therapy.

• Maintain accurate and confidential client documentation in accordance with local, state, and federal regulations, as well as ethical guidelines.

• Participate in regular case consultations and team meetings, as well as engage in professional development opportunities to enhance clinical skills.

• Advocate for clients by promoting mental health awareness and reducing stigma associated with mental illness.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

In this role, you will primarily work with individuals suffering from mood disorders such as anxiety, depression, and bipolar disorder. You will provide support to a diverse range of clients, including adults, adolescents, and families, fostering an environment where they feel safe to share their experiences and challenges.

Qualifications\n

• Current and active state license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT).

• A Master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a related field.

• Demonstrated ability to establish a trusting therapeutic relationship through excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
