Accounts Receivable Assistant

Job Title: Accounts Receivable Assistant Location: Secaucus, NJ Employment Type: Temp-to-Hire (3–6 months, based on performance) Pay Rate: $24/hour (W2) About the Role The Accounts Receivable Assistant supports the accounting team to ensure accounting functions are completed accurately and efficiently. This role is responsible for day-to-day invoice submission, maintaining customer account records, and supporting accounts receivable operations. What You Will Do Review sales orders against customer purchase orders before shipments are released. Submit customer invoices via: Email Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) Maintain accurate customer account records, including: Delinquent accounts Incomplete files Customer name changes Address updates Communicate account updates and issues to the appropriate personnel. Assist with additional accounts receivable duties as assigned by the AR Manager. What You Bring Knowledge & Skills Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including: Microsoft Word Microsoft Excel Basic knowledge of accounting principles and/or business operations. Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment. Strong organizational and time management skills. Detail-oriented with excellent problem-solving abilities. Communication Strong verbal and written communication skills. Positive attitude and professional work ethic. Education Associate's degree or higher in: Accounting Business Or a related field Candidates should possess a basic understanding of accounting or business operations. Experience Previous experience in accounts receivable, accounting support, or an administrative role is preferred.
