Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough assessments and develop comprehensive treatment plans, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to design tailored pre-crisis and crisis intervention strategies.

• Utilize evidence-based screening tools and methodologies, ensuring that interventions are data-driven and clinically effective.

• Document clinical interventions and case notes in a timely manner, adhering to all regulatory standards set forth by relevant governing bodies.

• Create and implement positive behavior support plans, working closely with clients to identify strengths and areas in need of development.
\n
• Act as a liaison between clients and other service providers, fostering partnerships with state agencies and community organizations to enhance our clients' access to services.

• Remain active in the licensing and accreditation processes, contributing to the clinic’s commitment to maintaining high-quality standards of care.

• Engage in continuous professional development activities, such as attending workshops and representing the clinic at state and local meetings.

• Collaborate with the Clinic Director on program development initiatives, contributing to the strategic growth of the center.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor at Life Mental State Counseling Center, you will address the needs of a diverse range of clients, including individuals struggling with mental health challenges, substance use disorders, and developmental disabilities. You will have the opportunity to work closely with each client to provide tailored support that meets their unique needs, fostering a client-centered approach to care that prioritizes their individual goals for recovery and wellness.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s Degree in a behavioral health field is required for this position.

• Possession of an Independent LMHC License from the state of New York.
\n
• Proven ability to maintain detailed clinical records and generate comprehensive reports.

• Excellent communication skills, fostering open dialogue with both clients and colleagues.

Preferred Experience\n

• Previous experience in an outpatient clinical setting, particularly within mental health counseling.

• Demonstrated history of working with state and local agencies relevant to mental health and substance use services.

• Familiarity with evidence-based treatment modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT).

Compensation and Benefits\n
