Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough preliminary interviews and document client cases from initial assessment through to treatment completion.
\n
• Evaluate clients' mental, behavioral, and emotional health to develop appropriate intervention and recovery plans.
\n
• Facilitate engaging individual and group therapy sessions, employing evidence-based techniques to guide therapeutic processes.
\n
• Monitor client progress throughout the treatment journey, making necessary adjustments to plans as needed.
\n
• Collaborate closely with a network of healthcare professionals, including psychiatrists, social workers, and nurses, to discuss and refine intervention plans.

• Manage referrals and coordinate with other mental health specialists for a holistic approach to treatment.
\n
• Follow up diligently with healthcare providers for clients who require hospitalization or additional medical support.
\n
• Help clients and their families recognize and mitigate behaviors that may hinder recovery.

• Provide guidance and support to caregivers to enhance their ability to manage mental and emotional challenges.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your practice will primarily focus on diverse adult clients facing various mental health challenges, including depression, anxiety, stress management, relationship issues, and more. You will work with individuals from various backgrounds, including families and couples, adapting your therapeutic approach to meet their unique needs and cultural considerations. By utilizing telehealth, you will broaden access to care for those who might struggle to seek services in traditional settings.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMFT, LPC, or LCSW) in the state of New Jersey.
\n
• A passing score on the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).
\n
• Demonstrated experience as a mental health counselor with a therapeutic skill set that encompasses various treatment modalities.
\n
• Proficiency with electronic health record systems, particularly AVATAR, to effectively manage client documentation.
\n
• Strong understanding of physical and emotional health conditions, including addiction disorders.
\n
• Familiarity with American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA) best practices.
\n
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills to maintain clear dialogue with clients and healthcare partners.
\n
• Empathetic and interpersonal skills allowing for effective relationship-building with clients.

Preferred Experience\n

• Prior work experience in a telehealth setting is advantageous but not mandatory.

• Experience with advanced therapeutic techniques and methods, including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) or solution-focused therapy.

• Knowledge in crisis intervention strategies and risk assessment.
\n
• A developed understanding of the impact of medications prescribed by medical specialists, including their potential effects and side effects.

Compensation and Benefits\n
