Role Description Imagine the excitement and ability to showcase your skills in a deployed overseas environment for six months coordinating travel for the Canadian Armed Forces (CAF) from across the world. As a deployed Travel Benefits Coordinator or Supervisor, you are not just providing travel services, but enhancing the morale and welfare of all the troops deployed. Responsibilities Coordinate travel to reunite CAF members with family at home or to an approved destination worldwide. Conduct briefings, provide advice and guidance while ensuring policy is followed and financial claims are completed and processed correctly. Lead and manage the travel department, support a team of coordinators, manage schedules, performance and overall operation of the department. Plan recreational activities, outings and events to keep military members mentally and physically ready for operations. Qualifications Education, Certifications and Licenses: College diploma or certificate in Tourism and Travel, Business Administration, Adult Training or a related field. Valid driver's license (Province). Canadian citizenship. Must have a valid Canadian passport. Experience: Planning and administering travel arrangements. Providing logistical support and customer service. Conducting training sessions and presentations. Office administration. Providing advice and guidance. Conflict management. Interpreting and applying policies, procedures, and regulations. Creating and maintaining electronic filing systems and databases. Additional Supervisor Experience: Planning services such as travel and office administration. Personnel administration. Competencies Client focus Organizational knowledge Communication Innovation Teamwork Leadership Additional Qualifications Completion of a health, dental and psychosocial assessment. Security screening. Standard First Aid with CPR/AED Level C, or willingness to obtain upon hire. Ability to walk and lift, carry, pull or push heavy items. Language Requirements Recruiting for positions with multiple language requirements. English Essential. Reading, writing and oral functional. Candidates meeting the bilingual essential requirement will be considered for all available positions (both English Essential and bilingual essential). Job Information Position type: Civilian deployment contracts are 6-month terms. Deployment start dates may take place within the next 2 years. Hours of work: Maximum 56 hours per week, which includes weekdays and weekends. Location: Latvia. Benefits Tax free allowance: Possibility of up to $1,756 per month in addition to your salary (allowance rates are based on mission/location/date). Home leave and travel allowance: Possibility of paid leave and travel allowance. Accommodations and meals: Provided for duration of deployment.
