Business Development Rep

Position Overview Business Development Representative - Full Time / Exempt Location: Houston, TX Reports To: Sales VP Salary grade: DOE Company Overview DOCUmation is a privately held technology solutions company providing managed IT, print, software, and communications services to organizations across Texas. Headquartered in San Antonio, DOCUmation partners with businesses to streamline operations, improve security, and support long-term growth. Responsibilities Drive new business growth within an assigned territory; own the full sales lifecycle—from initial outreach through close. Prospect and acquire new accounts through outbound outreach, referrals, and leads. Manage opportunities from initial conversation through close. Maintain accurate pipeline tracking and sales forecasts. Partner with internal specialists to assess needs and recommend technology solutions. Build and maintain long-term customer relationships within your territory. Meet or exceed individual and team sales goals. Research accounts and industries to identify growth opportunities. Participate in sales meetings, training, and company events. Provide clear, measurable updates to leadership on activity. Support cost-benefit analysis for proposed solutions. Experience & Required Skills Ability to engage prospects and build professional relationships. Strategic prospecting and consistent execution from prospecting through close. Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills. Product knowledge a plus. Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Ability to assess business needs and translate them into effective solutions. Adaptability and consistent execution from prospecting through close. Education & Certification High School Diploma or GED. Physical Requirements Ability to sit for prolonged periods of time, including as a driver or passenger in an automobile. Ability to lift, carry, and otherwise transport work-related materials that frequently weigh up to 25 lbs. and that may occasionally weigh in excess of 25 lbs. Ability to utilize a computer keyboard, computer monitor, and telephone for prolonged periods of time. Special Requirements Must have reliable transportation and a current Driver’s License.
