Work Environment

The Physical Therapist will deliver care directly in patients' homes throughout West McLean, Virginia. This onsite position allows therapists to engage closely with patients in their unique environments, catering to their specific needs and ensuring comfort during the treatment process. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations and assessments of patients referred by physicians, developing tailored treatment plans that align with their specific needs and health conditions.
• Implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions in various areas, including orthopedic, pediatric, neurologic, and sports medicine care.
• Provide skilled therapeutic services within the patient's home, utilizing appropriate procedures and techniques to optimize functional recovery.
• Foster strong patient relationships by effectively communicating treatment goals and progress, adjusting plans as necessary to meet individual client needs.
• Consult and educate patients and caregivers about health maintenance, care processes, and strategies to enhance recovery.
• Meet established productivity benchmarks and engage in continuous professional development through performance evaluations and team discussions.

Patient Population / Client Focus

This role will involve working with diverse populations, including individuals recovering from orthopedic surgeries, managing chronic pain, or regaining mobility due to neurological impairments. The therapist will have the flexibility to adapt care based on each client's unique circumstances, thereby enhancing the effectiveness of treatment and maximizing patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy from a CAPTE-accredited program.
• Current state license to practice as a Physical Therapist in Virginia.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an approved provider, such as the American Heart Association.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, promoting effective interactions with patients, families, and team members.
• Proficient computer skills, including familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems to maintain accurate patient documentation.
• Ability to cultivate meaningful relationships with patients, encouraging them to achieve their functional goals.

Preferred Experience

We prefer candidates with a minimum of two years of prior experience in a physical therapy setting, with hands-on experience in home care being particularly valuable. Familiarity with evidence-based practice standards and an adaptive approach to patient care will be considered essential for success in this role.

Compensation and Benefits

This position offers a competitive salary ranging from USD 100,000 to 120,000 per year, based on experience and qualifications.
