Work Environment

This is an onsite position primarily focused on home care, allowing therapists to work in the familiar environments of our patients. Key Responsibilities

In this role, you will:

• Consult with patients and their families to understand physical conditions and symptoms thoroughly.
• Diagnose movement dysfunctions and devise individualized treatment plans aligned with each patient's goals.
• Educate patients on performing therapeutic exercises correctly, leveraging your expertise to empower them in their rehabilitation.
• Utilize modalities such as massage or manual therapy to alleviate pain and enhance healing.
• Assist patients with mobility devices like wheelchairs and walkers, ensuring safe and effective usage.
• Maintain meticulous patient records documenting treatment plans, progress, and outcomes.
• Advise families on implementing home treatment strategies to bolster therapy effects and promote patient independence.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess:

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.
• A valid state license in Physical Therapy to practice in Virginia.
• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, to interact compassionately with patients and their families.
• Proficiency in using computer systems and software for record-keeping and reporting purposes.

Preferred Experience

Compensation and Benefits
