The Athletics Therapy Center is seeking a dedicated and licensed Physical Therapist (PT) to join our team. Work Environment

This role is performed onsite within the homes of our patients, providing a unique opportunity to deliver therapy in a familiar environment that promotes comfort and engagement. You will work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals, including nurses, occupational therapists, and other care providers, ensuring a holistic approach to patient care. Your schedule will typically be from Monday to Friday, 9 AM - 5 PM, allowing for a work-life balance that many seek in the healthcare industry.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients to develop tailored treatment plans that focus on restoring function, reducing pain, and maximizing independence.
• Implement individualized therapy treatments using evidence-based methodologies and state-of-the-art equipment tailored to each patient's needs.
• Regularly monitor patient progress, modifying treatment protocols as necessary and engaging in open communication with patients and their families regarding recovery goals and expectations.
• Educate patients and their caregivers about safety measures, exercise techniques, and preventative care strategies to empower them in their daily activities.
• Ensure meticulous documentation of patient interactions and treatment activities in adherence to regulatory and organizational standards.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As a Physical Therapist, your primary focus will be on seniors and individuals in need of rehabilitation due to various health conditions. Typically, these patients may be recovering from surgery, managing chronic disabilities, or navigating age-related physical challenges. Your expertise will significantly contribute to their mobility, helping them achieve personal goals and improving their overall quality of life.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.
• A valid Virginia Physical Therapist license in good standing.
• A minimum of 2 years of experience in physical therapy, with a strong preference for those with experience in geriatrics or home healthcare.
• Passion for enhancing the lives of older adults through empathetic and patient-centered care approaches.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to facilitate effective interactions with patients, families, and the healthcare team.

Preferred Experience

Compensation and Benefits
