Work Environment

This position is based onsite within a beautifully designed assisted living community in Merrifield, Virginia. Your day-to-day work environment will feature spacious therapy areas equipped with state-of-the-art rehabilitation equipment. You will have the opportunity to collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including occupational therapists, nursing staff, and wellness coaches, creating an integrated approach to geriatric care.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients' physical abilities and limitations to set achievable goals.
• Design individualized treatment plans that utilize a broad spectrum of therapeutic modalities and exercises aimed at improving patients' motion and mobility.
• Implement evidence-based interventions that help reduce the reliance on medications and provide non-invasive alternatives to surgery.
• Create and lead fitness and wellness programs that concentrate on enhancing strength, flexibility, coordination, and balance specifically tailored to geriatric patients.
• Motivate and support patients throughout their therapeutic journey to encourage optimal functional independence.
• Monitor patient progress closely, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to ensure continual improvement and achievement of their goals.
• Document all patient interactions and treatment protocols meticulously to maintain accurate medical records and facilitate interdisciplinary communication.
• Engage in consultation with other healthcare professionals to deliver a comprehensive treatment approach, advocating for your patients' wellness within the healthcare team.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy or related field from an accredited program is required.
• Active Physical Therapy License in the state of Virginia.

Compensation and Benefits
