Key Responsibilities

As a Physical Therapist at Motion Menders Therapy, you will:

• Direct personalized physical therapy treatment plans aimed at preventing disability, alleviating pain, and enhancing muscle function.
• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of clients, utilizing diagnostic tests to assess muscle, nerve, joint, and functional capabilities.
• Oversee the work of physical therapy assistants to ensure the accurate implementation of treatment plans.
• Assess clients' home environments and make tailored recommendations to foster independence and improve functionality.
• Administer manual therapeutic exercises, as well as instruct and motivate clients in non-manual exercises and functional activities.
• Adjust and fit prosthetic and orthotic devices and communicate modifications to physicians.
• Prepare and maintain detailed clinical records, including evaluations, care plans, progress notes, and discharge summaries.
• Participate actively in interdisciplinary team conferences to discuss treatment goals and adjustments.
• Educate clients and their families about physical therapy practices, equipment, and ongoing support after discharge.
• Complete administrative tasks, including timely documentation and clinical orders in compliance with branch policies.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your focus will include a diverse array of patients within our rehabilitation center, ranging from those recovering from acute conditions to individuals with chronic pain or mobility limitations. Qualifications

To qualify for this role, candidates should possess the following:

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
• A minimum of two years of relevant experience in a clinical setting, preferably in acute care or home health.
• Current licensure as a Physical Therapist in the state of Virginia, in good standing.
• Current CPR certification.
• A valid driver's license and automobile insurance.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with patients and families.
• A strong commitment to patient-centered care and the ability to work as a collaborative team member.

Compensation and Benefits
