California Licensed - Clinical Supervisor About this position Meridian Counseling is looking for licensed mental health therapists to join our team! Meridian is a new and growing group practice that is dedicated to helping our clients integrate mental health into their everyday health and wellness routines. Our mission is to create a trendy, welcoming and innovative group practice that services the Westside of Los Angeles. Job Description Title: Clinical Supervisor Position Overview: The Clinical Supervisor plays a crucial role in overseeing and guiding supervisees within Meridian Counseling. This position involves providing clinical supervision, ensuring the quality of client care, supporting professional development, and managing the supervisory team. Responsibilities Clinical Supervision: Provide regular triadic supervision to AMFT, ACSWs and APCCs Monitor and evaluate clinical work while offering guidance, feedback and support. Promote collaboration and a growth‑oriented mindset. Stay current with industry trends, best practices and evidence‑based interventions. Oversee client case management, ensuring effective treatment planning, appropriate interventions, and coordination of care. Request case presentations/video recordings to ensure adherence to clinical protocols, ethical standards, and regulatory requirements. Staff Management: Encourage employee development, measurement and accountability while highlighting achievements. Coach to achieve successful results and enhance employee satisfaction. Recognize gaps in skills and offer training to improve performance and professional development. Conduct performance evaluations and provide ongoing feedback to support supervisees’ growth. With HR support, address employee relations and performance issues promptly and implement corrective actions as needed. Quality Assurance: Establish and maintain quality‑assurance measures to evaluate effectiveness and outcomes of clinical services. Conduct regular audits of clinical documentation to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with organizational standards. Address and resolve any issues related to quality of client care. Foster a positive and collaborative supervisory team culture through effective communication and interpersonal skills, including building strong relationships. Collaborate with administration and intake to ensure seamless service delivery and respond timely to team requests. Ethical Standards and Compliance: Ensure supervisees adhere to ethical standards, confidentiality requirements and legal regulations. Stay informed about changes in relevant laws and regulations affecting clinical practice. Address any compliance issues promptly in collaboration with leadership and HR, including harassment, bullying, and other discriminatory behavior. Supervisory Documentation: Maintain accurate and up‑to‑date records of supervision sessions, including progress notes and performance evaluations. Prepare reports as needed for organizational leadership. Maintain performance documentation, including both recognition and non‑compliance/neglect leading to disciplinary action in partnership with HR. With HR support, prepare corrective action plans when needed to reinforce expectations. Qualifications Master’s degree or PhD/PsyD in psychology, social work, or counseling. Clinical licensure (LMFT, LCSW, LPCC, PhD, PsyD) required. Proven experience in clinical supervision within a healthcare or mental health setting. Strong knowledge of clinical best practices, treatment modalities, and regulatory requirements. Excellent communication, interpersonal and leadership skills.
