While most sessions are conducted via video conferencing, our outpatient office facility is also utilized for any necessary face-to-face interactions, facilitating a more holistic approach to mental health care.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct detailed mental health assessments that respect cultural differences, helping to create tailored treatment plans based on the individual needs of each client.

• Maintain precise and confidential patient documentation in accordance with legal and ethical standards.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Our practice serves a diverse range of clients, including individuals from ethnic and cultural minority backgrounds, LGBTQ+ youth and adults, and immigrant communities. You will have the opportunity to work directly with clients experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, and other mental health challenges while promoting an inclusive and supportive therapeutic environment.

Qualifications\n

• A master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• A current and valid license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in Virginia.

• Strong understanding of a variety of mental health disorders and a commitment to implementing evidence-based treatment approaches.

• A demonstrated ability to deliver culturally responsive therapy, particularly in individual and group settings.
\n
• Exceptional crisis intervention abilities, maintaining composure during challenging situations.

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, allowing for the building of rapport with clients from diverse backgrounds.

• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and other technological applications relevant to therapy services.

• A strong commitment to professional ethics, confidentiality, and maintaining professional boundaries.

Preferred Experience\n

• Previous experience working with diverse populations, particularly in outpatient settings.

• At least three years of clinical experience in mental health counseling or therapy.

• Experience utilizing teletherapy platforms efficiently as part of service delivery.

Compensation and Benefits\n
