As part of an outpatient office environment, you will engage with clients primarily through scheduled appointments, utilizing technology for remote sessions when needed, easing accessibility for clients in various situations.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive initial assessments to understand clients' backgrounds, challenges, and treatment needs, leading to personalized treatment plans.

• Provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions utilizing modalities such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), and solution-focused brief therapy to help clients meet their mental health goals.

• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including psychiatrists and social workers, to coordinate comprehensive care, ensure medication management, and reinforce therapeutic interventions with medical oversight.

• Maintain meticulous and confidential clinical records, adhering to ethical standards and legal regulations, ensuring clients' rights and privacy are protected.

• Engage in continual professional development by attending workshops and training related to current mental health research and best practices, thus enhancing your knowledge and skills.

• Provide crisis intervention when necessary, equipping clients with coping strategies and immediate support to manage acute emotional distress.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your work will primarily focus on individuals seeking support for a variety of concerns, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and family dynamics. You will have the opportunity to work with adults, adolescents, and families, tailoring your approach to each unique circumstance. Strong rapport-building skills will facilitate trust and openness, allowing for effective therapeutic alliances.

Qualifications\n

• A Bachelor’s degree in Counseling, Psychology, or a related field is required; however, a Master's or Doctoral degree is preferred.

• An active and unrestricted LPC licensure in the state of New Jersey is essential.

• A minimum of 2 years of experience providing counseling services in a clinical or outpatient context is preferred.

• Proficient knowledge of ethical guidelines and legal regulations impacting counseling practices is expected.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills that enable you to connect with clients from diverse backgrounds and establish therapeutic relationships.

• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team environment while also displaying independence and initiative in your role.

• Strong technological proficiency, especially with electronic medical record (EMR) systems, to ensure accurate documentation and case management.

Preferred Experience\n
