Position Overview

The Temporary Staff Accountant will be responsible for supporting the company’s accounting operations, month-end closing, financial reporting, reconciliations, and analysis. This position requires strong knowledge of general accounting principles, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities while meeting strict reporting deadlines.

The ideal candidate will have experience with financial statements, account reconciliations, reporting packages, budgeting, and U.S. GAAP. Manufacturing experience is a plus.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly financial statements, journal entries, account reconciliations, and management reports, including trial balances, balance sheets, and P&L statements.
• Support the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes.
• Prepare and submit monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting packages to Corporate using consolidation and reporting software.
• Reconcile Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, subsidiary ledgers, and other accounts to the General Ledger.
• Prepare and reconcile related-party receivables, payables, and transactions.
• Prepare sales and use tax schedules and other tax and compliance reports.
• Provide supporting schedules and documentation for Corporate and external auditors.
• Assist with annual budgeting and forecasting processes.
• Prepare management reports and financial analysis, including sales, cost of sales, headcount, departmental expenses, and intercompany transactions.
• Prepare and upload financial, supplemental, budget, and forecast information using SAP and Anaplan; troubleshoot and correct upload errors.
• Prepare trend analysis related to warranty expenses, product returns, and bad debt.
• Maintain fixed asset records and reconcile and record transactions in the accounting system.
• Provide backup support for Billing, Accounts Payable, and Accounts Receivable functions.
• Assist with annual commercial insurance renewals and maintain Certificates of Insurance (COIs).
• Perform various financial analyses, reconciliations, and special projects as assigned.
• Maintain confidentiality of financial and company information.
• Perform other accounting, financial, and administrative duties as requested by management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in general accounting.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and general accounting principles.
• Manufacturing accounting experience is preferred.
• Experience with JDE is a plus.
• Intermediate to advanced Excel skills, including PivotTables, XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP, formulas, macros, and other advanced functions.
