Job Summary: Join a compassionate healthcare team dedicated to delivering exceptional patient care in a clinical setting. This role involves assisting with patient management and supporting healthcare providers to ensure smooth and effective service delivery. Essential Responsibilities:
This position offers varied shifts within a regional healthcare setting in the Midwest United States, providing flexibility and opportunity to grow in a supportive environment.
- Provide direct and delegated patient care, recognizing normal and abnormal health indicators to identify at-risk patients.
- Respond to patient inquiries via telephone, triaging appropriately while offering reassurance, education, and clear guidance.
- Facilitate efficient healthcare delivery during patient visits by preparing patients for examinations, obtaining vital signs, and documenting medical histories and chief complaints.
- Observe and communicate abnormal patient signs to physicians, ensuring accurate and timely medical record documentation.
- Assist with testing, treatment procedures, minor surgeries, and physical exams under physician supervision, including applying splints and dressings.
- Manage sample medications and logs, arrange necessary patient testing or admissions, and obtain appropriate referrals and consents for invasive procedures or immunizations.
- Distribute patient education materials and confirm patient understanding of treatment plans and medication usage.
- Perform laboratory tests and maintain laboratory logs as prescribed.
- Maintain clinical areas by stocking supplies, ensuring cleanliness, sterilizing instruments, and verifying equipment functionality.
- Perform additional duties as assigned to support clinical operations.
- Graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant or Nursing Program.
