• Shift / Schedule: Day Shift, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM (5x8 Hours)

Job Summary

This is a temporary, onsite Administrative/Patient Services Representative role at a healthcare facility, supporting clinical and administrative operations including patient scheduling, insurance verification, referral management, and front-desk patient interaction.

Key Responsibilities

• Answering and triaging calls - directing to appropriate individuals or departments.
• Scheduling appointments.
• Perform insurance verification functions.
• Calendaring using the Outlook application.
• Process and track all incoming and outgoing referrals and reviewing the Referral Work Queue and screening New Patients.
• Sorting and deposition of mail and patient information in compliance with HIPAA rules and regulations following Cedars-Sinai standards.
• Interact with patients, providers and other caregivers within the clinic and at outside facilities providing accurate, timely and responsive information.
• Provide patients with generic preoperative information sheets and advise patients of preoperative surgical and financial requirements.
• Uploading patient imaging.
• Assist in all work assignments.
• Scheduling patients for appointments, infusion, chemotherapy, etc. - daily case load of 100-120 patients per day.

• Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
• Ability to interact diplomatically and sympathetically, in a cheerful manner, with proper etiquette and professionalism.
• Ability to use health system computer systems, and utilize the various resources and tools effectively.
• Ability to schedule surgeries accurately in a timely manner.
• Previous working knowledge of patient related policies and procedures.

Preferred Skills

• Experience utilizing EPIC EMR system.
• Experience directly working with physicians.

Education Requirements

• High school diploma (HSD) or GED required.

Required Experience

• Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar role within a healthcare facility.
