Locations 12901 Bruce B Downs Blvd, Tampa, FL, 33612, US (Hybrid) Job Description USF Health is a regional branch of the University of South Florida that houses the academic medical center comprised of Morsani College of Medicine, College of Public Health, Taneja College of Pharmacy, College of Nursing and School of Physical Therapy. Central Human Resources (CHR) consists of multiple areas of expertise including Talent Acquisition, Benefits, Classification & Compensation; Employee and Labor Relations; Continuous Process Improvement, HRIS, HR Business Partners and Talent and Learning Management. USF Human Resources is embarking on a multi-year transformation focused on a Human Resources strategy that elevates our people so that the University and culture support a competitive workforce advantage in line with our strategic plan. USF Health Office of Human Resources strategically partners with CHR to provide services, programs and support to USF Health team members while fostering a positive work culture, one in which employees collaborate with one another, feel comfortable sharing their concerns with management, and feel appreciated for their important work—an ideal environment for reducing employee turnover and encouraging collaboration. Responsibilities Provides support to managers and employees on human resources-related matters, ensuring alignment with corporate policies, goals, and objectives. Processes non-faculty recruitment and personnel actions including appointment extensions, FTE changes, terminations and offer letters. Participates in unit timecard oversight and line manager support as necessary to ensure timely pay for non-exempt employees. Leads, creates, and/or supports special project initiatives and deliverables. Handles basic issues and problems and refers more complex issues to higher-level staff. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications Associate’s degree -OR- equivalent combination of education and experience. Minimum of one (1) year of related HR experience -OR- HR Internship experience. Degree Equivalency Clause: Four years of direct experience for a bachelor’s degree. Senate Bill 1310- The Florida Senate ( is conditional upon meeting all employment eligibility requirements in the U.S. SB 1310: Substitution of Work Experience for Postsecondary Education Requirements A public employer may include a postsecondary degree as a baseline requirement only as an alternative to the number of years of direct experience required, not to exceed: Two years of direct experience for an associate degree; Four years of direct experience for a bachelor’s degree; Six years of direct experience for a master’s degree; Seven years of direct experience for a professional degree; or Nine years of direct experience for a doctoral degree. Related work experience may not substitute for any required licensure, certification, or registration required for the position of employment as established by the public employer and indicated in the advertised description of the position of employment.
