Wellness Wise Physical Therapy is seeking a dedicated and experienced Physical Therapist (PT) to join our team in Clearwater, Florida. Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans focused on preventing disability, relieving pain, and restoring muscle function, tailoring each plan to the client's specific needs as outlined in their care treatment.
• Evaluate and monitor the effectiveness of therapeutic interventions, making necessary adjustments based on client progress and feedback.
• Supervise physical therapy assistants to ensure the appropriate and effective delivery of treatment protocols.
• Conduct thorough assessments of clients' physical abilities using diagnostic and prognostic testing, including muscle, nerve, joint, and functional assessments.
• Provide in-home therapy services as prescribed by referring physicians, ensuring that interventions are patient-centered and aligned with clinical objectives.
• Engage clients in therapeutic exercises, encouraging their active participation in both manual and non-manual interventions.
• Assist clients with the integration of physical agents into their treatment plans, including traction and massage therapies.
• Evaluate and recommend modifications for prosthetic and orthotic devices, consulting with physicians as necessary to optimize client support.
• Document clinical progress, prepare initial evaluations and discharge summaries, and enter all pertinent information into the client's clinical records.
• Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings for case conferences, sharing insights and strategies that contribute to comprehensive client care.
• Educate clients and their families on rehabilitation techniques, exercises, and the proper usage of therapeutic devices.
• Ensure compliance with state laws regarding supervision of physical therapy support personnel.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will encounter a diverse range of patients, including those recovering from surgery, managing chronic illnesses, or rehabilitating from injuries. Qualifications

• A Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
• A minimum of one year of experience as a physical therapist, ideally in acute care or home care settings.
• Current and valid Physical Therapist license in good standing within the state of Florida.
• Current CPR certification to ensure the safety and readiness of patient care.
• A valid driver's license and automobile insurance to facilitate travel to clients' homes.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in orthopedic rehabilitation or geriatric care settings is advantageous.
• Proficient in utilizing electronic health records (EHR) systems to track patient progress and enhance documentation efficiency.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and mentor junior staff or therapy assistants.
