Work Environment\n

This position offers the flexibility of remote work, allowing counselors to operate from the comfort of their homes while still connecting with clients in meaningful ways. Our clinic is structured to support telehealth services, accommodating various communication platforms and ensuring that you have the tools necessary to deliver high-quality care. We offer a flexible schedule from 7 am to 10 pm, seven days a week, catering to the needs of our diverse client base.

Key Responsibilities\n

As an LCPC at Tarrant Post-Acute Care Practice Center, your primary responsibilities will include:

• Conducting trauma-informed mental health assessments that evaluate patients' histories and current emotional states to develop appropriate treatment plans.

• Crafting and implementing individualized treatment plans that focus on trauma recovery and building resilience among clients.
\n
• Delivering evidence-based interventions, including techniques such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT).

• Facilitating both individual and group therapy sessions to help patients process their trauma, develop effective coping strategies, and foster healing.
\n
• Collaborating with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to ensure an integrated care approach, providing holistic support to clients.
\n
• Responding to crisis situations by providing immediate intervention and support.
\n
• Educating clients and their families about trauma responses and available coping mechanisms, enhancing their understanding of the healing process.

• Maintaining accurate and confidential documentation in compliance with all legal and ethical standards.

• Participating in team meetings and professional development sessions that enhance knowledge of trauma-informed care best practices.

• Keeping current with the latest research and methodologies in trauma therapy to continuously improve care quality.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your role will primarily involve working with individuals who have experienced trauma, ranging from mild to severe cases. The patient population includes children, adolescents, and adults, each with unique backgrounds and personal narratives. By utilizing a trauma-informed care framework, you will be instrumental in guiding clients toward healing and empowerment, fostering a supportive environment that encourages growth and resilience.

Qualifications\n

To qualify for this position, candidates must possess:

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Mental Health Counseling from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LCPC in the state of Maryland.

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, along with a compassionate, non-judgmental approach to therapy.

• A proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems and other relevant computer applications.

• An ability to maintain composure in high-stress situations while ensuring the well-being of clients.

Preferred Experience\n

We prefer candidates who have at least two years of post-licensure experience, particularly those with extensive knowledge of trauma-related disorders and trauma-focused therapeutic modalities. Candidates with experience in delivering both individual and group therapy are strongly encouraged to apply. Familiarity with crisis intervention techniques will also be an advantage.
