Key Responsibilities

• Perform initial patient evaluations to understand their unique goals and tailor individualized treatment plans.
• Maintain a manageable patient load, ensuring focused and effective therapy sessions.
• Utilize evidence-based assessments to determine the most effective interventions for orthopedic conditions.
• Employ a variety of treatment modalities, including manual therapy techniques, therapeutic exercises, and patient education to enhance recovery.
• Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary to achieve optimal outcomes.
• Promote non-surgical alternatives to treatment, emphasizing lifestyle modifications to minimize medication dependence.
• Document all treatments and patient responses accurately using EMR software, specifically Web PT, to ensure seamless communication with healthcare professionals.
• Engage in continuous learning to stay current with the latest advancements in physical therapy and orthopedic care.
• Encourage and motivate patients throughout their rehabilitation journey to foster a positive mindset and adherence to therapy.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including physicians and other therapists, to align treatment goals and enhance patient care.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be on orthopedic outpatients, including individuals recovering from surgeries, sports injuries, and chronic musculoskeletal conditions. You will work closely with patients of varying ages and activity levels, providing personalized therapy that addresses their specific needs and goals, ultimately improving their quality of life.

Qualifications

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited institution.
• An active Physical Therapist license in Virginia.
• A minimum of two years of clinical experience specializing in orthopedic outpatient care.
• Strong proficiency in various manual therapy techniques and therapeutic interventions.
• Demonstrated ability to create and implement effective exercise programs tailored to individual patient needs.
• Experience using EMR software like Web PT for patient documentation and management.
• A commitment to ongoing education and staying updated on new physical therapy techniques supported by current research.

Preferred Experience

While a minimum of two years of experience is required, candidates with specialized certifications in orthopedic therapy or experience in managing complex cases are preferred. A proven track record of patient satisfaction and positive recovery outcomes will be advantageous.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of $100,000 to $120,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
