German Transcription Expert for AI Training

Role Overview

Help improve language technology by turning German audio into accurate, high-quality transcripts. This remote contract role centers on preserving the original meaning, tone, and context of spoken content while supporting AI training and evaluation work. Prior AI experience is not required.

Key Responsibilities

• Listen to German audio and produce accurate transcripts that reflect the original meaning, tone, and context.
• Review and edit transcripts to meet linguistic and style guidelines.
• Add required metadata, including speaker identification, timestamps, and contextual cues.
• Work with project stakeholders to resolve ambiguous audio and linguistic questions.
• Perform quality checks to maintain accuracy and consistency.
• Provide feedback that improves transcription workflows and guidelines.
• Handle project data confidentially and in accordance with compliance protocols.

Qualifications

• Native-level German proficiency, including an understanding of regional dialects and variations.
• Experience in transcription, linguistics, or related language-focused work.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong attention to detail.
• Proficiency with audio playback tools, transcription tools, and standard office software.
• Ability to interpret and apply project guidelines precisely.
• Familiarity with linguistic annotation and metadata practices is preferred.
• Strong organization and proactive problem-solving skills in a remote setting.

Work Terms

• Remote independent contractor engagement.

Compensation

• $10 to $25 per hour.
