Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive assessments and evaluations to tailor individualized therapeutic strategies for clients.
\n
• Deliver evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), psychodynamic therapy, and solution-focused brief therapy, to diverse client groups.
\n
• Document treatment plans, client progress, and clinical records accurately and in compliance with legal and ethical standards.
\n
• Engage in ongoing professional development by attending workshops and training sessions to remain current with advancements in mental health research and practices.
\n
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including social workers, psychiatrists, and other healthcare providers, to ensure comprehensive care for your clients.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your clientele will consist of individuals and families who may have limited access to traditional mental health services. You will work with patients facing a variety of mental health challenges, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and coping with life transitions. Your compassionate approach will help these patients cultivate resilience and improve their emotional well-being.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Counseling, Psychology, or a related field is required.
\n
• Possession of an active and unrestricted LCPC license in the state of Maryland.
\n
• A minimum of two years of relevant counseling experience, preferably in a clinical setting.

• Strong ethical understanding and adherence to legal standards pertaining to mental health practice.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with a wide range of clients.

• A demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively within a healthcare team.

• Familiarity with electronic medical record (EMR) systems and other relevant technologies.

Preferred Experience\n

• Specialization in family therapy, couples therapy, substance misuse, or trauma-informed care is highly valued.

• Experience in community health settings is a plus.
