Principal Solutions Architect, Digital Native Strategic Accounts

Responsibilities Partner with Amazon Web Services (AWS) Principal Solutions Architect within the Strategic Accounts segment to design cloud architectures utilizing AWS services. Help customers solve business challenges such as rapidly releasing products or services to the market or building an elastic, scalable, cost‑optimized application. Engage product owners to influence product direction and help customers tap into new markets by utilizing AWS services. Look for patterns and trends that can be broadly applied across industry segments or a set of customers to accelerate innovation. Drive revenue growth across specific customers as a core member of the account team. Advocate for customers by advising on migration, scaling, and modernization of workloads in the cloud. Shape and execute strategy to build knowledge and broader use of AWS across the customer organization. Interact with cross‑functional teams within AWS (services, marketing, professional services) and represent the team to executive management. Lead in‑depth technology discussions, articulating the business value of the AWS platform and services to Enterprise Architects, Technical Architects, Cloud Architects, Directors, VPs, and CXOs. Basic Qualifications 10+ years of experience in technology domain areas (e.g., software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics). Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, or equivalent. Experience developing technology solutions and evangelizing end‑to‑end technology roadmaps that guide IT transformations toward cloud computing. Experience communicating across technical and non‑technical audiences at C‑level, including training, workshops, publications. Preferred Qualifications Knowledge of distributed systems design and implementation or equivalent. Knowledge of large‑scale automation and workflow management or equivalent. Knowledge of database design and implementation or equivalent. Presentations and whiteboarding skills; comfortable speaking with internal and external executives, IT management, and developers. Experience architecting, migrating, transforming or modernizing customer requirements to the cloud.
