Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments to evaluate functional performance and therapeutic needs, engaging with patients to understand their specific goals and challenges.
• Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to develop individualized care plans that reflect the patient's needs, preferences, and set goals for rehabilitation.
• Implement and monitor therapeutic interventions consistent with the plan of care, utilizing evidence-based practices and advanced therapeutic techniques.
• Educate patients and their families on therapeutic exercises, use of assistive devices, and methods to maintain progress outside of therapy sessions, fostering independence and self-efficacy.
• Adjust treatment plans as necessary based on patient progress, ensuring that care remains patient-centric and goal-oriented throughout the entire rehabilitation process.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of patient progress and outcomes in accordance with legal and ethical standards.
• Provide mentorship and support to junior staff and assist in coordinating daily operational tasks, including prioritizing patient caseloads and managing staffing needs.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will primarily work with a diverse patient population ranging from children to seniors, addressing a variety of musculoskeletal and neurological conditions. Our rehabilitation center serves individuals recovering from surgeries, injuries, chronic conditions, and those requiring specialized therapy services for pain management and mobility improvement. Your role will be crucial in designing tailored rehabilitative strategies that enhance functional mobility and improve patients' quality of life.

Qualifications

• A valid and unrestricted Physical Therapy License in Virginia.
• A Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy, with a preference for candidates holding a Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT).
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment.
• A passion for patient-centered care and a strong desire to contribute positively to the lives of others.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of two years of experience in a physical therapy setting is preferred to enhance the quality of care offered.

Compensation and Benefits
