Position Overview

Agile Body Therapy & Home Care is seeking a dedicated and skilled Full-Time Licensed Physical Therapist to join our team in Appomattox, Virginia. Work Environment

The role is primarily onsite at our outpatient office in Appomattox, Virginia, where you will engage with patients directly, one-on-one. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations for patients referred by physicians, assessing their physical capabilities and limitations.
• Design and implement individualized treatment plans that address specific needs, including therapeutic exercises, rehabilitation techniques, and patient education.
• Utilize advanced therapeutic methods, including manual therapy and modality applications, to facilitate recovery and enhance physical function.
• Provide ongoing assessment of patient progress, documenting key findings and adjusting treatment plans as necessary.
• Deliver exceptional customer service, ensuring a positive experience for each patient throughout their treatment journey.
• Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to maximize patient outcomes through shared knowledge and skillsets.
• Educate patients and their families about home exercise programs and wellness strategies, supporting their recovery beyond the therapy sessions.
• Achieve and meet utilization goals and business objectives set by the organization.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In your role, you will have the opportunity to work with a diverse patient population, including individuals recovering from orthopedic surgeries, sports injuries, neurological conditions, and pediatric patients. Your focus will be on delivering tailored interventions that respect the unique goals and lifestyles of each patient, ensuring that they receive care that aligns with their expectations and needs.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited physical therapy program recognized by the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) or Commission on Accreditation in Physical Therapy Education (CAPTE).
• Possession of a Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy.
• A valid State License to practice Physical Therapy in Virginia.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification from the American Heart Association.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills to interact effectively with patients and their families.
• Proficiency in computer skills, including word processing and familiarity with electronic health record systems.
• A proven ability to build rapport with patients, demonstrating empathy and a commitment to helping them achieve their functional goals.
• A positive attitude coupled with a desire to connect with individuals on a personal level.

Preferred Experience

While not mandatory, experience in specialty areas such as orthopedics, pediatrics, sports medicine, or neurological therapy is highly desirable. Familiarity with contemporary therapeutic modalities and a background in developing community connections will enhance your ability to perform effectively in this position.

Compensation and Benefits
