Key Responsibilities\n

As a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor at Sunny Square, your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• Facilitating group therapy sessions, promoting interaction and mutual support among clients, and encouraging the sharing of personal experiences.

• Providing individual therapy sessions where you will offer a safe space for clients to express their thoughts and feelings, aiding them in developing effective coping strategies.

• Collaborating with clients to design tailored treatment plans that define clear goals and track progress, using tools and assessments appropriate for each individual.

• Monitoring client progress through ongoing assessments, adjusting treatment approaches as necessary to ensure the best outcomes.

• Working closely with a multidisciplinary team of professionals, which includes psychiatrists and social workers, to coordinate care and consult on complex cases.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be on young adults aged 18 to 30, offering specialized outpatient treatment for those facing mental health challenges. Our therapeutic programs are research-based and holistic, allowing clients to engage in a supportive and encouraging environment. You will help clients work through common issues such as anxiety, depression, adjustment disorders, and more.

Qualifications\n

• Master’s Degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or a related field.

• Current licensure as a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) in Illinois.

• Strong understanding of mental health treatment practices and evidence-based intervention strategies.

Preferred Experience\n

Ideal candidates will have experience in outpatient mental health settings, particularly with young adult populations. A strong background in evidence-based therapy modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), or Motivational Interviewing will be highly valued. Experience in crisis intervention and group facilitation is also advantageous.

Compensation and Benefits\n
