This position offers the flexibility of working remotely while becoming an integral part of our supportive team. While you will be providing care mainly online, you will also engage in occasional in-person team activities and training sessions aimed at fostering professional relationships and sharing best practices.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive preliminary interviews to assess clients’ mental, emotional, and behavioral health.

• Maintain accurate documentation of client cases from the initial consultation through to treatment closure, ensuring compliance with organizational and legal standards.
\n
• Develop and implement individualized treatment and recovery plans for clients, which may include various strategies tailored to individuals, couples, families, and groups.
\n
• Facilitate one-on-one therapy sessions and group workshops, focusing on a range of challenges, including anxiety, depression, relationship issues, and trauma recovery.
\n
• Monitor and evaluate clients’ progress concerning their treatment plans, adjusting interventions as necessary based on their evolving needs.
\n
• Collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team of professionals, including psychiatrists, medical doctors, nurses, and social workers, to ensure comprehensive care for clients.
\n
• Follow up with healthcare providers for clients requiring additional support, particularly those placed in inpatient facilities.
\n
• Identify and proactively address behaviors that hinder recovery, providing education and support to clients and their families.
\n
• Assist families and primary caregivers in navigating the complexities associated with mental health challenges, ensuring a supportive network for the client.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Our mental health counselors work with a diverse clientele, including individuals struggling with a variety of mental health conditions such as anxiety, depression, PTSD, and substance use disorders. You will engage with clients of all ages, providing tailored support to children, adolescents, adults, and families. Your role will include developing an understanding of each client's unique circumstances and cultural backgrounds, guaranteeing the delivery of culturally sensitive and responsive care.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LCPC, or LCSW in the State of Illinois.
\n
• Successful completion of required examinations, including the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).
\n
• Previous experience as a licensed mental health counselor, demonstrating proficiency in clinical settings.
\n
• Strong familiarity with electronic health record systems, specifically AVATAR, to streamline documentation and client information management.
\n
• Comprehensive understanding of the interplay between physical health conditions, emotional well-being, and addiction issues.
\n
• Commitment to adhering to the best practices established by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA).
\n
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with an ability to articulate complex concepts clearly and empathetically.

• A nurturing and compassionate demeanor, showcasing exceptional interpersonal skills in client interactions.

Preferred Experience\n

• Background working with diverse populations, particularly in community health settings.

• Experience in providing teletherapy or remote counseling services.
\n
• Specialized training in specific therapeutic modalities, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), or trauma-informed care.

• Familiarity with addiction recovery programs and interventions.

Compensation and Benefits\n
