Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct individual and group therapy sessions using telehealth platforms, ensuring accessibility and engagement with a diverse range of clients.

• Assess and monitor each client's progress through comprehensive evaluations, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to align with therapeutic goals.

• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team of mental health specialists, including psychiatrists, social workers, and nurses, to design and implement effective intervention plans.

• Provide support and follow-up care for clients transitioning to or from inpatient psychiatric units, working closely with other healthcare providers.

• Proactively identify behavioral patterns and psychosocial factors that may hinder a client’s recovery, implementing preventative strategies to address these issues.

• Engage with families and primary caregivers, equipping them with strategies to manage mental and behavioral health challenges more effectively.

The clients you will be serving at Maple Valley Counseling Center encompass a wide demographic, including individuals managing anxiety, depression, trauma, and other mental health conditions, as well as couples and families navigating relational dynamics. Qualifications\n

• A Bachelor's Degree in psychology, social work, or a related field is required; a Master’s degree in mental health counseling or a comparable discipline is highly preferred.

• Must hold a current LMHC license to practice in the state of Massachusetts.

• Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills that facilitate effective client interaction.

• Demonstrated ability to form therapeutic relationships and maintain a sympathetic, client-centered approach.

• A strong understanding of psychopharmacology and the effects of psychotropic medications, with an ability to communicate these aspects to clients comprehensively.
