Description

• Conduct thorough evaluations of patients across pediatric, adult, and geriatric populations utilizing standardized testing and observational assessments.
• Create tailored treatment plans addressing immediate goals along with long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing needs.
• Deliver individualized speech therapy sessions emphasizing language, fluency, voice, and swallowing interventions.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including physical and occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, caregivers, and families, to craft comprehensive care strategies.
• Educate patients and their families to enhance progress outside of clinical environments.
• Participate in occasional inpatient therapy evaluations and interventions to ensure seamless care throughout the patient's journey.
• Maintain precise and timely documentation in accordance with state, federal, and organizational criteria.
• Engage in ongoing education and peer collaboration to stay abreast of the latest advancements in speech-language pathology.

Education

• A Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Successful completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet ASHA-certified.

Certifications

• State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
• Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA is preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification to be obtained within 30 days of employment.

• Solid understanding of evidence-based treatment methodologies across all ages, with expertise in both developmental and acquired speech, language, and swallowing disorders.
• Outstanding interpersonal communication skills with patients, families, and collaborative care teams.
