Work Environment

This role is primarily conducted onsite at patients' homes, allowing for a personalized touch in care delivery. The working hours are structured Monday to Friday, with flexible schedules available, such as 9 am to 5 pm or 8 am to 4 pm, to accommodate the needs of your patients and maintain a work-life balance. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients' physical conditions, assessing strength, flexibility, balance, and mobility.
• Develop and implement personalized rehabilitation treatment plans focused on restoring function, improving mobility, and alleviating pain.
• Utilize a variety of therapeutic techniques, including manual therapy, exercise prescription, and patient education to enhance rehabilitation outcomes.
• Participate in clinical discussions and mentoring sessions for physical therapy interns, ensuring a transfer of knowledge and skills.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide a multidisciplinary approach to patient care.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, and outcomes using our electronic health record system.
• Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and clinical research, under managerial guidance, in areas such as best practices in orthopedic rehabilitation.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your patients will primarily include individuals recovering from orthopedic surgeries, sports injuries, and musculoskeletal disorders. You will tailor treatment approaches to diverse patient needs, ranging from athletes aiming to return to play to seniors adjusting post-surgery or managing chronic conditions. This role calls for a strong empathetic approach combined with excellent communication skills to educate patients and their families about recovery processes and self-management strategies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.
• An up-to-date New York State Physical Therapy license is required.
• Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in outpatient orthopedic therapy.
• Exceptional clinical assessment and treatment skills with a focus on patient-centered care.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with patients and collaborate with other healthcare providers.

Preferred Experience

• Board certification in Orthopedic Physical Therapy is preferred but not mandatory.
• Experience mentoring interns or leading educational sessions in a clinical setting.
• Proficiency in utilizing electronic health record (EHR) systems for documentation and patient management.

Compensation and Benefits
