Job Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations for patients spanning all age groups using validated assessments and observational insights.
• Craft tailored treatment plans that cater to both immediate goals and ongoing communication, cognitive, or swallowing requirements.
• Deliver individualized therapy sessions focusing on communication, language, fluency, voice modulation, and swallowing techniques.
• Team up with physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, caregivers, and families to forge well-rounded care plans.
• Provide education for patients and families to enable progress outside of therapy sessions.
• Facilitate inpatient speech therapy evaluations and interventions as needed, ensuring a seamless continuum of care.
• Keep precise and timely documentation in concordance with state, federal, and organizational mandates.
• Engage in ongoing education and collaborative discussions to stay abreast of advancements in the field.

Qualifications

• A Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Completion of a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet ASHA-certified.

Certifications

• State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist.
• Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be obtained within 30 days of hire.
