Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough assessments of client mental health to determine individual needs and gather relevant history.

• Create and implement personalized therapy plans that align with best practices and client goals.

• Provide ongoing individual and group therapy sessions, fostering a safe and judgement-free atmosphere for clients.

• Monitor client progress and adapt treatment plans as needed, ensuring efficacy in therapeutic approaches.

• Coordinate care with additional healthcare providers, making referrals to psychiatrists or specialists when necessary.

• Document all client interactions and treatment progress accurately in electronic health record (EHR) systems.

• Participate in team meetings and supervision sessions to discuss case management and treatment strategies.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

In this role, you will work with a diverse range of clients, including individuals managing anxiety disorders, depression, eating disorders, and substance abuse issues. Our clients come from various cultural backgrounds, and you will be encouraged to employ culturally responsive techniques to meet their unique needs. Your expertise in mental health counseling will enable you to promote resilience and provide effective coping strategies tailored to each individual's circumstances.

Qualifications\n

• Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LPC, LCSW, or equivalent in New York State.

• Minimum of two years of relevant clinical experience in a mental health setting.

• Thorough understanding of mental health disorders, treatment modalities, and therapeutic interventions.

• Experience delivering therapy to individuals and groups using cultural competence and inclusivity.

• Strong crisis intervention skills; ability to remain calm and focused under pressure.

• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills; proven ability to establish rapport with patients from diverse backgrounds.

Compensation and Benefits\n
