Medium Enterprise Account Executive - Government

About The Role Here at Workday, our Account Executives are key players in our Field Sales organization. With a net‑new revenue focus, they fuel Workday’s growth by guiding new customers from legacy platforms to our enterprise‑management cloud. In this role you will Develop a strategy for prioritizing, targeting, and closing key opportunities in your assigned territory Perform account planning for assigned accounts and coordinate with pre‑sales and other resources to ensure strategic alignment Initiate and support sales of Workday solutions within Medium Enterprise prospects and share Workday value propositions Maintain accurate, timely data on customer/prospect pipelines and service forecasts Basic Qualifications 4+ years of experience selling SaaS/Cloud based ERP/HCM/Financial/Planning or Analytics solutions to C‑level executives from a field sales position 4+ years of experience negotiating deals with a variety of C‑suite executives to close opportunities 4+ years of experience engaging in a programmatic approach to generate and develop leads within your territory Other Qualifications Proven track record in a high‑velocity sales cycle, including prospecting for a portion of opportunities Understanding of the strategic competitive landscape of the industry by staying up‑to‑date with trends and customer needs so you can effectively position Workday solutions within accounts Experience leveraging and partnering with internal team members on account strategies Excellent verbal and written communication skills Pay Transparency The annualized base salary ranges for the primary location and any additional locations are listed below. Workday pay ranges vary based on work location. This role may be eligible for the Workday Bonus Plan, a role‑specific commission/bonus, and annual refresh stock grants. Pay offers are based on geography, experience, skills, and business need. Primary Location: USA – TX – Frisco Base Pay Range: $137,400 USD – $167,600 USD Additional US locations have the same base pay range Flexible Work Approach With Flex Work, we combine the best of in‑person and remote work. You will spend at least 50% of each quarter in the office, field, or with customers and partners, with the flexibility to create a schedule that meets your business, team, and personal needs.
