Labor Employment Associate

Our client, a growing California-based Labor & Employment law firm, is looking for a Labor & Employment Associate with 3-7 years of defense-side employment litigation experience. The boutique firm was founded by former AmLaw 100 attorneys represents California employers in a broad range of employment matters, from single-plaintiff disputes to complex PAGA and class action litigation. Role & Responsibilities Manage employment defense matters from inception through resolution, including single-plaintiff, PAGA, and class action litigation Lead all phases of discovery, including drafting and responding to written discovery, taking and defending depositions, and preparing discovery motions Draft, argue, and oppose substantive motions, including summary judgment motions and other key filings Participate in arbitrations and trials, with opportunities to second-chair federal jury trials and take on increasing responsibility Maintain strong client relationships while contributing to a collaborative team environment Skills & Experience 3-7 years of California employment defense litigation experience Exclusive defense-side employment law experience, plaintiff-side experience will not be considered Experience handling PAGA and class action matters strongly preferred Demonstrated proficiency in discovery, depositions, motion practice, and case management Excellent legal writing, research, and analytical skills Collaborative, team-oriented mindset with strong interpersonal skills Compensation $150,000 - $215,000 + Location Hybrid schedule: 3 days in the Irvine, CA or Los Angeles office #J-18808-Ljbffr Intelletec
