Key Responsibilities\n

• Collaborate with the Medical Director and Medical Team Administrator to design and implement personalized mental health treatment plans both within the facility and externally.

• Provide training to medical, psychiatric, and security personnel regarding mental health needs and crisis intervention strategies, enhancing overall team competency.

• Intervene in and defuse mental health emergencies, employing evidence-based techniques to manage high-stress situations effectively.

• Attend commitment hearings as necessary, advocating for patients' needs and mental health considerations during the legal process.

• Develop and monitor individualized treatment plans, setting actionable goals for each patient and regularly reviewing progress.

• Document all patient interactions meticulously, maintaining detailed and accurate records of care while ensuring confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations.

• Verify and assess patients' mental health histories, including prior diagnoses and medications, to inform effective treatment strategies.

• Prepare and submit both routine and special reports as required by management to maintain compliance and improve treatment outcomes.

• Coordinate with nursing and mental health staff to ensure seamless referrals and follow-up post-release, enhancing continuity of care.
