Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive mental health evaluations to assess clients' emotional, psychological, and behavioral well-being, ensuring accurate documentation from the initial consultation through to treatment conclusion.

• Develop tailored treatment and intervention plans for individuals, couples, families, and groups that address a wide range of mental health issues.
\n
• Facilitate engaging individual and group therapy sessions, utilizing a variety of therapeutic techniques and evidence-based practices.

• Continuously monitor and evaluate client progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes during therapy.

• Collaborate effectively with psychiatrists, primary care physicians, and other healthcare professionals involved in client care to coordinate comprehensive intervention strategies.

• Proactively identify potential behavioral challenges that may hinder client recovery and implement strategies to mitigate these issues.

• Provide support and resources to family members and caregivers, empowering them to manage mental health challenges and enhance their loved ones' recovery.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The ideal candidate will engage with a diverse patient population, including children, adolescents, adults, and families dealing with mental health disorders, trauma, anxiety, mood disorders, and substance use issues. You will be equipped to respond compassionately and effectively to the unique needs of each client, nurturing their journey toward recovery and emotional resilience.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LMHC, or LICSW in Massachusetts.

• A successful score on the National Counselor Examination (NCE) or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).

• Proficiency in managing electronic health records, specifically utilizing systems like AVATAR for documentation and progress tracking.
\n
• In-depth knowledge of mental health principles, an understanding of addiction disorders, and experiences in addressing co-occurring physical health conditions.

• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities, crucial for building rapport with clients and collaborating with other professionals.

• A strong capacity for empathy, active listening, and demonstrating a compassionate approach when working with clients and their families.

Preferred Experience\n

• Prior experience in a telehealth setting with a focus on diverse mental health issues.

• Familiarity with the best practices established by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA).

• A working knowledge of medication management and the effects of prescribed drugs commonly used in mental health care.
