Job Description
Direct Support Staff play a key role in helping participants engage in their community, develop skills, and enjoy fulfilling daily experiences. This position works hands-on with participants providing support, encouragement, supervision, and assistance with daily activities.
Responsibilities Include:
- Providing direct support and supervision to participants during daily program activities
- Assisting with community outings, skill-building activities, and recreational programming
- Promoting independence, dignity, safety, and respect at all times
- Supporting behavioral plans and positive behavior techniques (training provided)
- Assisting with personal care support as needed (may vary by individual)
- Helping maintain a positive, structured, and supportive environment
- Completing basic documentation and daily notes
We’re Looking For Someone Who Is:
- Caring, patient, and passionate about helping others
- Dependable and responsible with strong communication skills
- Able to remain calm, positive, and professional
- A team player who also works well independently
Requirements:
- Must be 18+
- Must be able to pass background clearance
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record preferred
- CPR/First Aid (or willingness to obtain)
