Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough preliminary interviews with clients to assess their mental, behavioral, and emotional health, documenting all findings accurately from the initial consultation to the end of treatment.

• Develop personalized, evidence-based intervention and recovery plans tailored to the needs of diverse populations, including individuals, couples, families, and groups.
\n
• Facilitate engaging individual and group therapy sessions, utilizing various therapeutic modalities to encourage client participation and growth.
\n
• Continuously monitor client progress throughout their treatment plan, making necessary adjustments to optimize effectiveness and encourage recovery.

• Collaborate with fellow mental health specialists, primary care doctors, nurses, and social workers to craft and refine comprehensive intervention strategies that address clients' needs.

• Maintain clear communication with psychiatrists and attending physicians for clients who are hospitalized, ensuring coordinated care and a seamless treatment experience.

• Identify potential barriers to recovery during therapy sessions, working proactively to manage behaviors that may impede the healing process.

• Provide support and guidance to family members and primary caregivers to navigate mental health challenges effectively.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Our clients encompass a wide variety of demographics, including children, adolescents, adults, and families experiencing various mental health issues such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship struggles. The role requires a strong ability to build rapport and trust with clients, meeting them where they are in their mental health journey.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current licensure as an LMFT, LPC, or LCSW in the state of Virginia.

• Successful completion of the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).

Preferred Experience\n

• A minimum of two years of experience in a mental health counseling role, demonstrating the ability to manage a caseload effectively.
