Pay Rate: $19.00 / Hour

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors, contractors, and/or employees by carrying out site-specific procedures, access control activities, and other security-related duties appropriate to a utilities location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or unusual activity in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate with site contacts and emergency services when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and report conditions that may need attention.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials when required, and document visitor, vehicle, and/or contractor activity according to site policies.
• Complete routine reports and incident documentation, and relay important observations, maintenance concerns, and/or policy violations to site leadership and Allied Universal management.

Minimum Requirements:

• A minimum of 2 years of security-related experience is required.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Guard card is required.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
