Work Environment\n

This position is designed to be fully remote, offering flexibility while allowing our counselors to connect with clients effectively. Typical working hours are Monday to Friday, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, though some flexibility may be required based on the needs of our patients.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough mental health assessments and develop individualized treatment plans tailored to the specific needs and circumstances of each client.

• Implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Solution-Focused Therapy, to help clients achieve their mental health goals.

• Facilitate psychoeducational groups and support groups, providing clients with community resources and a platform for shared experiences.

• Collaborate closely with psychiatrists, psychologists, and other mental health professionals to create an integrated approach to patient care.

• Provide crisis intervention services and be prepared to support clients dealing with mental health emergencies.

• Educate clients and their families about mental health conditions, treatment options, coping strategies, and available community resources.
\n
• Maintain accurate, confidential, and up-to-date records of patient progress and treatment interventions in accordance with legal and ethical standards.

• Participate in regular case consultations, team meetings, and continuous professional development initiatives to stay abreast of the latest research in mental health.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in New York.

• Demonstrated understanding of mental health disorders and proficiency in a variety of therapeutic modalities.

• Proven ability to conduct comprehensive assessments, critically analyze client needs, and formulate timely and effective treatment plans.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a strong commitment to maintaining professional boundaries and ethical standards.

• Proficiency in using electronic health record (EHR) systems and related technology.
\n
• Ability to work cohesively within a multidisciplinary team while also demonstrating capability for independent work.

Preferred Experience\n

• Experience providing individual and group therapy in an outpatient setting, with particular skills in addressing trauma-informed care.

• Familiarity with community resources and referral processes to assist patients in accessing additional forms of support.

• Previous experience in crisis intervention and the ability to effectively manage challenging clinical situations.

Compensation and Benefits\n
