Make a meaningful impact as a Special Education Teacher in a supportive elementary resource setting. This contract-based role focuses on 4th and 5th-grade students, providing specialized instruction and tailored support to help each child thrive. The position runs from ASAP through June 11, 2027, with a weekly schedule of 32.5 hours: 7:25 AM – 2:10 PM, and early release at 1:10 PM on Wednesdays. Both on-site and virtual candidates will be considered.

Desired Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Special Education or related field
• Valid teaching certification in Special Education
• Experience working with elementary-aged students in special education resource settings
• Background with life skills and/or behavioral support programs highly valued
• Effective classroom management and individualized instruction skills
• Comfortable collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and parents
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• For virtual applicants: must operate as a 1099 contractor and carry liability insurance

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for 4th and 5th graders
• Provide targeted resource instruction focused on life skills and behavior support
• Adapt curriculum to meet the diverse needs of students
• Monitor student progress and adjust strategies as needed
• Collaborate with general education teachers and school staff to integrate support plans
• Foster a positive, inclusive learning environment
• Communicate regularly with families to share achievements and address concerns
