Experienced Nurse Practitioner Needed for Onsite School Setting

In this full-time, onsite role, you will play a crucial part in providing primary and specialty medical care within a school setting, serving our young patients and making a significant impact on their health and well-being.

Work Environment

You will operate in a dynamic school environment characterized by teamwork and collaboration. The position is Monday to Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, allowing you to engage with students, parents, and school staff in a familiar setting. Our facility provides the necessary resources and state-of-the-art technology to enable you to deliver exemplary care efficiently and effectively.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough health assessments and physical examinations to establish diagnoses, develop treatment plans, and monitor ongoing health development for students.

• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including physicians, nurses, school counselors, and educational staff, to coordinate comprehensive patient care and facilitate efficient referrals.

• Order and interpret necessary diagnostic tests, prescribe medications as appropriate, and perform any required therapeutic procedures.

• Educate students and their families on health promotion, disease prevention, and chronic condition management, ensuring they understand their treatment plans and the importance of follow-up.

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records, adhering to regulatory standards and our organization’s best practice protocols, to ensure continuity of care.

Patient Population / Client Focus

This role primarily focuses on the pediatric population, including elementary and high school students. You will address various health concerns, from routine physicals and immunizations to managing chronic conditions like asthma and diabetes. Your commitment to providing patient-centered care will directly enhance the health outcomes and educational experiences of the children you work with.

Qualifications

• Master's or Doctoral degree in Nursing from an accredited program.

• Current licensure as a Nurse Practitioner.

• A minimum of 2 years of experience as a Nurse Practitioner, ideally in pediatrics or school health.

• Certification in a recognized Nurse Practitioner specialty area is preferred.

• Strong clinical assessment, diagnostic skills, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with students, parents, and staff.

Preferred Experience

• Experience working within a school health program or pediatric setting.

• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and school-based health protocols.

• Proven ability to educate and advocate for children’s health issues and wellness initiatives.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary ranging from USD 150,000 to 160,000 annually, along with a comprehensive benefits package that includes health, dental, and vision insurance.
