Experience in the Consumer Electronics, Auto, OEMs, Telecom, E‑commerce/Retail, Apps, Ads, Gaming, or Technology industries. Experience working with C‑level executives and cross‑functionally across multiple levels of management. Experience managing agreements or partnerships. Preferred Qualifications MBA or Master’s degree in a related field. 5 years of experience in business development, partnerships, or a similar role. Experience leading and closing partnership agreements, including negotiation, structuring, and implementation. Experience working cross‑functionally and managing projects with multiple stakeholders in a fast‑paced environment. Excellent analytical and financial modeling skills, with the ability to assess partnership opportunities and develop business cases. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to build consensus and influence stakeholders at all levels. About the job As a part of Google’s Knowledge and Information Partnerships organization, you will work with a wide range of external partners to help build Google products through product‑enabling relationships (e.g., data licensing, content partnerships, API/platform integrations, and technology licensing). You will contribute to areas including Search, Shopping, Assistant, Maps, Local, Play Books/Newsstand, Research, Machine Intelligence, Developer Products, and Social Impact. As part of the Shopping BD team, you will lead services integration and content partnerships to enable capabilities, products, and offers across the Shopping ecosystem, including Google.com. Your role as Strategic Partner Development Senior Associate focuses on bridging the gap between local commerce and the digital shelf. You will be aligned to Local Inventory strategy, strengthening relationships with SMBs, POSs, Delivery Aggregators, and Data Aggregators to support local inventory data acquisition. You will serve as a “quarterback,” responsible for unlocking hyper‑local product data from millions of small and medium‑sized businesses. The role requires a blend of ecosystem focus, technical resourcefulness, and operational excellence. Responsibilities Lead the development and execution of partnerships, managing the entire life‑cycle from identification and negotiation to launch and ongoing management. Analyze partnership performance, identify areas for optimization and growth, and develop recommendations to enhance value and achieve goals. Align cross‑functional teams, including Product, Engineering, gTech, and Marketing, as the central lead to build a scalable pipeline for local inventory data. Develop and manage deep partnerships with key aggregators, POS providers, and local commerce platforms to democratize access to local product availability. Drive alignment across disparate teams (from YouTube to Cloud) to ensure a unified approach to merchant partners.
