Work Environment

The work setting is onsite at our rehabilitation facility in Fords, New Jersey, where you will be surrounded by a team of dedicated healthcare professionals. You will work a standard schedule of 40 hours per week, including variable weekends, ensuring that our patients receive continuous care.

Key Responsibilities

Your role as a Physical Therapist involves the following essential duties:

• Conduct comprehensive examinations and assessments of patients with functional limitations and disabilities.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on evidence-based practices.
• Provide consultations to interdisciplinary healthcare providers regarding patient care strategies.
• Engage with patients throughout the rehabilitation process, monitoring progress and adapting treatment plans as necessary.
• Document findings, integrate treatment, and maintain accurate electronic health records in compliance with applicable regulations and professional standards.
• Educate patients and their families on treatment processes and discharge planning to ensure continuity of care.
• Participate in leadership roles involving community outreach, quality improvement initiatives, and clinical program development.
• Supervise and mentor support staff, including physical therapy aides and students, fostering a team-oriented approach to patient care.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your expertise will be utilized to serve a diverse patient population ranging from young athletes to seniors recovering from surgery or managing chronic conditions. You will interact with individuals from various backgrounds, ensuring culturally competent care that respects individual differences and promotes optimal recovery outcomes.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.
• A valid State License in Physical Therapy.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in electronic health record systems and general computer skills.

Preferred Experience

While a minimum of two years of clinical experience is required, candidates with specialized training or expertise in orthopedic rehabilitation or pediatric therapy will be highly regarded. Experience in community health initiatives or program development is also a plus.

Compensation and Benefits

This full-time position comes with a competitive salary range of USD 100,000 to 120,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
