Key Responsibilities\n

The LPC will undertake a variety of responsibilities that are vital to the mental health treatment process:

• Collaborate with the Medical Director and the Medical Team Administrator to create and coordinate holistic mental health treatment plans tailored to individual patient needs.

• Provide mental health in-service training sessions for medical and psychiatric staff to enhance their understanding of mental health issues and improve patient interactions.

• Actively intervene in mental health crises by utilizing de-escalation techniques and problem-solving strategies within the facility.

• Participate in commitment hearings and legal proceedings as required, demonstrating thorough documentation and understanding of patient rights and legal obligations.

• Develop comprehensive treatment plans focused on measurable goals for individual patients, fostering an approach that empowers their recovery process.

• Maintain detailed documentation of patient interactions, ensuring confidentiality in line with HIPAA regulations and safeguarding sensitive information.

• Verify patient mental health histories and previous prescriptions for psychotropic medications to tailor effective treatment approaches.

• Prepare regular reports for internal review and special reports upon request, contributing to the facility's accountability and quality assurance measures.

• Collaborate with discharge planners and nursing staff to facilitate effective post-release referrals, ensuring continuity of care for every patient.

Qualifications\n

Compensation and Benefits\n
