Empower-Self Physical Therapy is actively seeking a dedicated and compassionate Full-Time Orthopedic Physical Therapist to join our innovative and patient-centered team in Edison, New Jersey. Our state-of-the-art facility spans 5,000 square feet and is designed to support advanced sports medicine practices. While we primarily serve clients with private medical insurance, our mission is to ensure every individual receives comprehensive and personalized care. Our experienced team comprises two skilled physical therapists and one physical therapist assistant (PTA), all working collaboratively to deliver the highest standards of care.

Work Environment

This position is based onsite in a home care setting, which allows you to deliver personalized therapy services directly to patients in their environments. You will be working Monday through Friday from 9 am to 5 pm, ensuring a consistent schedule that supports work-life balance while providing focused and diligent care to patients. Your contributions will impact patients' daily lives, and you will have the opportunity to cultivate strong therapeutic relationships.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess each patient's unique needs and goals to develop personalized treatment plans that foster recovery and improve mobility.
• Manage an efficient patient caseload of one individual per hour, delivering focused and effective care during each session.
• Implement evidence-based treatments, including manual therapy techniques and customized exercise protocols, to enhance patient outcomes.
• Motivate and support patients throughout their rehabilitation process, reinforcing their commitment to recovery and well-being.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure a multidisciplinary approach to comprehensive patient care, ensuring holistic treatment planning.
• Document all patient care services and monitoring progress accurately using EMR software, particularly WebPT.
• Regularly evaluate treatment outcomes and adapt care plans based on patients' progress and evolving needs.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will predominantly work with individuals recovering from orthopedic conditions such as post-surgical rehabilitation, sports injuries, and chronic pain syndromes. Each patient will receive individualized attention tailored to their specific rehabilitation journey, empowering them to reclaim their functionality and independence. Your role is fundamental in reducing dependency on medications and avoiding surgery through targeted therapeutic interventions.

Qualifications

• Earned a Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited program.
• Possess a current and valid DC license as a Physical Therapist.
• Maintain an exemplary professional record with no history of board or disciplinary actions.
• Strong proficiency in manual therapy techniques and implementing effective exercise regimens.
• Experience in using EMR software, particularly WebPT, for efficient patient documentation and management.

Preferred Experience

• Previous experience in orthopedic outpatient settings with a focus on home care services is preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to develop engaging and motivating fitness and wellness programs tailored to individual patients.

Compensation and Benefits
